A clear request helps a redraw provider assess complexity and prevents scope surprises. You do not need a perfect source file; the point is to show what survives and explain what you need next.
Include the reference
Upload the highest-quality copy you have, whether it is a JPEG, PNG, PDF, screenshot, or photo. Multiple references are useful when one shows shape and another shows colors or text. Identify the version that should be treated as authoritative.
Explain the intended result
State whether you want a faithful recreation or specific changes to text, composition, or color. Say where the files will be used and share any supplier specifications. New design concepts are different from redrawing existing artwork.
Flag uncertainties
Mention unreadable letters, missing sections, unknown colors, or rights questions. A provider can then tell you what can be matched and what requires an interpretation before quoting.
Example of a clear, compact brief
A useful request could read: ‘I have a low-resolution photo of my existing two-color shop logo. Please recreate the same wording and symbol without the photographed wall background. I need files for a 30 cm shirt print and my website. The green should match the attached color reference. One small letter is unclear; please flag it in the proof.’ This is an illustrative brief, not a customer story. It gives scope, references, use, and uncertainty without technical jargon.
Check your message before submitting
- Attach the source rather than only describing it.
- State whether you need a faithful redraw or design changes.
- Name the final use and any supplier file requirements.
- Give an email address you can receive a reply at.
Do not send payment-card details in an artwork inquiry. A free quote should explain scope and price before a private payment link is sent.
Our process overview shows where artwork review and proof approval fit.
Does requesting a quote authorize paid work?
No. A quote inquiry should be separate from acceptance and payment; confirm the provider's exact process before proceeding.
Ask for a free artwork quote
Use the free quote form to send your artwork and brief. We will review it and reply by email before any payment is requested.
Upload your artwork for a free quote. An inquiry does not start paid work.
